Camera Metering Modes 

Metering is the process that your camera uses to determine the camera shutter speed, aperture and ISO necessary depending on the light entering your camera. This is reflected light off your subject or scene. There are typically three types of metering:

Matrix Metering or Evaluative Metering.

Centre Weighted Metering.

Spot Metering.
